While average size wigs tend to fit about 95% of customers, you will find that quite a few wigs also come in petite and large sizes. Consider that many also have adjustable straps that give up to 1.5” so that you can achieve a comfortable and secure fit.

 

To determine the right size wig for you, measure the circumference of your head from the front hairline, behind your ear, to the nape of your neck, to your other ear and then back to the front hairline. Jot down your measurement then consult the table below. Please note that sizes may vary slightly by brand and that not all wigs are available in all cap sizes. How To Determine Your Cap Size

 

PETITE CAP - a wig cap designed with a smaller base capsize, designed to fit those with a smaller head size from 20 - 21 inches in circumference.

 

AVERAGE CAP - the most common size wig cap, most often the standard of size for wig wearers. The cap perimeter at inside measures approximately 21.5" - 22.5" in circumference.

 

PETITE-AVERAGE CAP - the in-between size needed when in-between petite and average sizes. Made for wearer's who can wear both sizes at times, however, it also allows both heads sizes more choices in styles they make without limitations. The capsize is 21" - 22" in overall circumference. 

 

AVERAGE-LARGE CAP -  designed to fit head sizes of 22.5" in circumference. The choice when the average is not quite large enough and large is slightly too big.

 

LARGE CAP - measuring around the inside of cap perimeter of cap 22.5" - 23.5" for wearers with larger head sizes. Made in both women's and men's styles.
